About Customs

Would you like a personalized piece of jewellery, accessory, home decor or art-doll tailor-made to your liking? Mushrooms and moths has got you covered!

Together with you, we'll look at your ideas, wishes and budget for the product. It would be awesome if you could supply us with some inspirational pictures, colour preferences and optional gem preferences. 

When we have received the initial payment (€20,-) for the custom, we will get started on the sketching. Every step of the process will be communicated to you, and you can give input along the way. We will do everything in our ability to get you the perfect piece.

Some things to consider before requesting a custom:

• Please note that Mushrooms and Moths won't be replicating any art done by other artists. We strive to bring you a piece that's unique and exclusive.
• Also, note that Mushrooms and Moths will not deviate from the materials listed below:
  - Cosclay & Apoxy sculpt
  - Pan-Pastel
  - Acrylic paints (Golden, Amsterdam)
  - Water-based clear varnish
  - Stainless Steel (coloured) or Silver findings
  - Genuine crystals
  - Gemstone beads
  - Waxed cotton string / Ribbon / Chain (Gold/Silver Stainless steel) / Beaded necklace
• A limited amount of custom slots are available . Please keep an eye on our socials to stay updated on when new custom slots become available.
• Our custom pieces will take some time to get finished, the exact time will be discussed  during the second step listed below. 
• The initial payment for a custom slot is €20,-, Customs will vary in price depending on details, stones and size. We will be discussing your budget in the second step of the custom process.

How it Works

1. It all starts with your idea: whether you have a concrete idea or it's just a basic starting point, we begin by talking about the vision for your custom piece. 

2. I’ll walk you through what’s possible with polymer clay, offer a price range, discuss your budget and give an estimate for when your custom piece could be ready.

3. If you're excited to move forward, I ask for a small deposit. This lets me start designing and gathering materials for your piece. 

4. I’ll create one or multiple designs based on your budget and the product you want.

• A simple version with minimal details (€20 - €40)

• A mid-range design with some extra flair (€40 - €90)

• A detailed option with intricate details and additions (€90+)

5. Once a design is chosen, it’s time to select your preferred colours, findings and gemstones/beads (if applicable).

6. Crafting begins! I’ll send you regular updates so you can see your piece take shape and to give you a chance to change details.

7. Once it’s finished we'll discuss the final payment and shipping, and I'll send your unique piece to you.

8. You'll have a one-of-a-kind piece to wear, display and/or cherish.
